The former principal of his school, Alan Leinbach, wrote on his Facebook post, “Please Pray: It is with sadness that we let you know that our Class of 2022 graduate, Zachary Warrick, died last night as a result of a vehicle accident. Please be praying for his family and friends. Zachary was a gifted young man who had genuine faith in Jesus. At this past Friday night’s graduation, Zachary was awarded the Al Leinbach Servant Leadership Award and the Spiritual Life Leadership Award.“

Zachary Warrick’s Cause of Death: UTV Accident Link

911 dispatchers were alerted of the accident at 10:23 p.m., according to the Edgar County Coroner’s statement on the death of 18-year-old Zachary following a UTV accident on Tuesday night.

The call was attended to by the Vermilion Fire Department, Paris Fire Department, Paris Ambulance, and the Edgar County Sheriff’s Department.

Zachary E. Warrick, 18, of Indianapolis, Indiana, was rushed to Paris Hospital’s emergency department where he was declared dead at 12:38 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

Zachary was one of two passengers in a Polaris Ranger crew cab side by side operated by a third person on private land in Vermilion, Illinois, at 4676 North 2025th Street.

According to the Edgar County Coroners, an autopsy performed Wednesday morning in Champaign, Illinois, by Forensic Pathologist Dr. Shiping Bao revealed that the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the abdomen.
