A mountaineer from Zakopane, Poland, Anna Tybor is the first-ever woman in the world to reach the top of Manaslu without taking oxygen with her.

Anna is also the first Polish woman to ski down the peak as well. The world’s eighth highest mountain, Manaslu was conquered by her without supplementary oxygen.

She took just two days to reach the top of the Manaslu before beginning her descent of the 8,163-metre peak, reaching base camp about 6 pm on 30th September.

Tybor and her team-Piotrek Drzastwa, two Italian friends Federico Secchi and Marco Majori as well as the sherpa Chhang Dawa came to the base of the mountain on September 12 and started the acclimatization process.

The journey to reach the top of Manaslu was planned for the last year 2020 but due to COVID 19 pandemic restrictions the challenge was pushed.
