NBC’s ‘Dateline’ features Gilberto Nunez who is married to his wife, is believed to be the killer of Tom Kolman, as it was a love triangle between the three. 

NBC’s ‘Dateline’ aired a segment about Tom Kolman’s mysterious death in November 2011.

It is a case that has perplexed everyone to this day, not only because his suspected killer, Gilberto Nunez, was acquitted, but also because of the events that occurred before his death.

The love triangle, the set-ups, the conversations were all strange, but in the midst of it all was Tom’s best friend, Gilberto.

Dateline: Who Is Gilberto Nunez Wife?

Gilberto Nunez, like Tom and his wife, Linda Kolman, was a devoted parent despite his divorce.

Gilberto is married to his current wife Yameil, however, not much details have been revealed about Gilberto’s wife.

He met the couple for the first time at their children’s school, and they quickly formed an unbreakable friendship.

Tom was not a social person and preferred to spend his time with his family.

Gilberto and Linda began an affair despite their optimism and close friendship.

It lasted nearly a year and included a lot of texting, phone calls, and letters.

Linda and Tom were still married, she was still seeing Gilberto, and Tom and Gilberto were becoming closer than they had ever been.

Gilberto presented Linda with a letter purportedly from a CIA agent detailing allegations that Tom, too, was having an affair.

The police thought the same thing when they were investigating Tom’s death, which was caused by midazolam, a dental sedative found in his system.

It took them four years to gather all of the evidence and make the arrest, but Gilberto was finally charged with second-degree murder in 2015.

Gilberto Nunez Affair With Linda Kolman & Tom Kolman Murder

Gilberto Nunez and Linda Koman’s affair is still thought to be the main cause of Tom Kolman’s murder.

However, Gilberto was the one who was charged with the murder, despite his attempt to divert the investigation.

And for now, the family has been ripped apart and after Tom’s death, Nunez was arrested for the murder.

Where Is Gilberto Nunez Today In 2022?

After the case was heard in court, Gilberto Nunez was found not guilty of Tom Kolman’s murder.

Gilberto, on the other hand, was found guilty of two counts of possession of a forged instrument, one for the phony CIA ID and one for the phony letter he claimed to have received from the Agency.

Gilberto had also been charged with perjury in July for lying about having a permit for his pistol.

Gilberto will be on parole until October 2, 2023, according to state records.

And, despite his current freedom, he is unable to return to his former dental practice.

When he was sentenced, his attorney attempted but failed, to obtain a certificate that would allow him to regain his license after his release.

As a result, he has kept a low profile in his personal life. Gilberto had remarried a woman named Yameil, an estate agent.

By that point and they appear to still be together, residing in New York.
