Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was sentenced for committing the Boston Marathon bombing alongside with her brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev.  On 15 April 2013, they placed pressure cooker bombs near the end line of the race that killed three people and over 280 victims were injured.

The Tsarnaev brothers were also accused of killing MIT Police Officer Sean Collier, following the bombing on 18th April. Tamerlan was killed and a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Police officer was badly wounded for the time being of the escape in an SUV.

On the evening of 19th April, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev got arrested from a boat on a trailer in Watertown just outside the police perimeter. He was charged for his crime which results in death and massive destruction of property.

Marathon Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was born on 22 July 1993, in Tokmok, Chuy Oblusu, Kyrgyzstan. He traveled with his family to the United States on a tourist visa when he was nine years of age.

Later, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s family eventually claimed asylum while their staying in 2002. Thus, he is a naturalized U.S. citizen, obtained on 11 September 2012.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev holds dual nationality of Kyrgyzstan and America. He completed schooling at Cambridge Ringe and Latin School. He was doing his higher studies at the Univerisity of Massachusetts Dartmouth at the time of the  bombing.

While his brother Tamerlan was killed by the police in April 2013, he was seriously injured but escaped. He was searched by a manhunts ensued with thousands of police at 20-block areas of Watertown, Massachusetts.

Dzhokar Tsarnaev was found badly wounded and unarmed when hiding in a boat. Subsequently, the police began to fire at the boat and arrested him. Afterward, he was rushed to the Besh Israel Deaconess Medical Center following the injuries.
