He retired in 2021, and joined the Pirates broadcast team, where he now serves as commentator.

About Late Tom Walker

Tom Walker was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in 1968, and journey was defined by one unforgettable moment.

While with the Dallas-Fort Worth Spurs in the Double-A Dixie Association, he achieved a 15-inning no-hitter against the Albuquerque Dodgers, winning 1-0 with an astonishing 193 pitches.

In 1972, the Montreal Expos selected Walker in the Rule 5 draft, opening the door to his major league career.

He went on to play for various teams, including the Detroit Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, and the California Angels.

Walker’s last appearance in the majors was marked by a memorable triple play induced against Lyman Bostock.
