Rick Folbaum is an American anchor and correspondent who is an anchor for at CNN International. He is a former anchor for join WFOR-TV Channel 4, a CBS affiliate, in Miami.

He was formerly a news anchor and correspondent for the Fox News Channel and the former co-anchor of WNYW’s Fox 5 News at 6. He also worked for WFOR-TV Channel 4, a CBS affiliate, in Miami as an evening anchor from 2013 to 2018 when he left.

Folbaum earned his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

He is a three-time Emmy award-winning broadcaster, moderator, speaker, and communications expert.

He has moderated and hosted hundreds of events, including the US Holocaust Museum annual fundraising dinner featuring a live interview with the last surviving Nuremberg prosecutor Ben Ferencz.

Folbaum also anchored days of live coverage of Hurricane Irma as well as the shooting at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and Fidel Castro’s death.

He was also one of the first journalists on the scene of the 2016 Pulse nightclub massacre, field anchoring his newscasts from Orlando.

He also anchored breaking coverage of history-making stories including the release of the Starr Report in the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal, the 9/11 terror attacks, the 2008 GOP convention, the “Miracle on the Hudson” and the re-election of President Barack Obama.

As a London-based correspondent from 1998-2000, he covered Europe and the Middle East.
