Nathaniel Eugene Burleson is a Canadian-born television host, American footballer, commentator, and former wide receiver. He was born on August 19, 1981, in Calgary, Alberta.

Nathaniel attended a Broadcast Boot Camp put on by the NFL in 2012. After his playing career ended in 2014, he began working as an analyst for the NFL Network.

Nathaniel would expand his work with CBS and its sister properties in 2021, first as the colour commentator for the NFL Wild Card game airing on Nickelodeon then as host for The Challenge: All-Stars reunion show on Paramount.

Nathaniel Burleson will spend more time in front of the CBS Cameras after the network announced a new long-term deal with him. The deal will expand the former wide receiver’s role across CBS News and CBS Sports, including joining, CBS This Morning, the network’s morning program, as co-host alongside Gayle King and Tony Dokoupil, starting in September.

Nate is set to replace longtime journalist, Anthony Mason, who will remain with CBS to report on Culture.
