Marquez Reshard Valdes-Scantling is an American football wide receiver for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs (NFL). Valdes-Scantling went to Lakewood High School and played football there. As a senior, Valdes-Scantling had 50 receptions for 800 yards and 14 receiving touchdowns. Valdes-Scantling attended NC State from 2013 to 2014 and South Florida from 2015 to 2017. Due to transfer rules, he was forced to miss the 2015 season.

Valdes-Scantling caught six passes for 99 yards and his first receiving touchdown of the season in a 27-16 win over the Denver Broncos in Week 3. Valdes-Scantling finished with two catches for 133 yards, including a 74-yard touchdown, as the Packers defeated the Oakland Raiders 42-24 in Week 7. Valdes-Scantling agreed to terms with the Kansas City Chiefs on a three-year, $30 million contract on March 24, 2022. He had three receptions for 111 yards in a 44-23 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7.
