San Francisco, Sep 29 (IANS) A man has been condemned to almost four years in jail for supposedly taking a few new iPad models, Macintosh Watches, and other costly hardware from Walmart in the US.

As per AppleInsider, the occurrence occurred in 2017 where he worked at a Walmart dispersion focus in Pennsylvania.

Jimenez-Hiciano concealed specific hardware in conveyance trucks, sent them through FedEx to his locations, and imparted the returns of the deals to other people, the report said.

In June 2022, Rusmaldy Jimenez-Hiciano conceded to four counts of mail extortion.

Court reports explicitly list 1000 iPads, 942 Mac Watches, and other grouped top of the line gadgets, it added.

US Area Court Judge Jeffrey L. Schmehl condemned Jimenez-Hiciano to three years and ten months in jail, three years of administered discharge, and requested him to pay full compensation of $536,000 and relinquishment of $461,000.

The US Division of Country Security and the Pennsylvania State Police explored the case.

Partner US Lawyer Mary E. Crawley was the investigator, according to the report.
