Lance Ten Broeck cause of death

Written by Christopher Ramos — 0 Views

Lance Ten Broeck, an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, and Champions Tour died on Sunday April 30, 2023 at age 67. A cause of death is yet to be revealed.

Broeck grew up in Chicago as part of a golfing family and went on to play collegiately at Texas.

He qualified for the U.S. Open seven times and held the 36-hole lead in the 2012 U.S. Senior Open, but he was the quintessential journeyman golfer, playing at least 14 tournaments in 12 seasons, making 355 Tour starts, and finishing with 11 top-10 finishes without ever winning an official title.

Ten Broeck did win one event, the Magnolia Classic in 1984, but it wasn’t considered an official victory because it was held the same week as the Masters.

His best PGA Tour finish was second at the 1991 Chattanooga Classic, earning him a career-high salary of $75,600.

With his playing career all but over, Jesper Parnevik asked him to caddie for him in 1999. They won the Wyndham Championship together that first week, and Ten Broeck had a new career.

He caddied for four of Parnevik’s victories and also worked for Ernie Els, Tim Herron, and Richard S. Johnson.

In May 2009, he caddied and played in the Valero Texas Open, missing the cut but beating Jesper Parnevik who he caddied for.

Ten Broeck competed in his first Champions Tour event, the 3M Championship, in 2008. His best Champions Tour finish was a T-9 in the 2012 U.S. Senior Open.
