Jim Paschke is an American sportscaster. A native of Bloomington, Minnesota, he began his broadcasting career in radio in Knoxville, Iowa, after studying at the University of Minnesota and Brown Institute, in Minneapolis.

Paschke has play-by-play responsibilities for a broad range of sports at all levels, but is best known for his job as the Milwaukee Brewers television announcer (1987–91, 1995–96), Big Ten football announcer, and is presently the Milwaukee Bucks television voice (1986–present). Paschke and his TV partner Jon McGlocklin are among the NBA’s longest-running broadcasting teams.

TV spectators and fans of Milwaukee Brewers heard Paschke calling the only no-hitter in franchise history on April 15, 1987. He’s a four-time winner of the regional Emmy Award. Jim Paschke joins the 2010-11 season in his 38th year in the broadcasting sector. Paschke is present as the “Voice of the Bucks” television in his 25th season and as the Television Development Coordinator of the team on the 15th. He’s been pairing for the previous 24 seasons with present broadcast partner Jon McGlocklin, the “Original Buck.”

Paschke operates on the telecasts, television projects and other broadcasting team ventures throughout the year and frequently adds both video and written material with his “Paschketball” characteristics to the Bucks website. Jim is also a featured community speaker, speaking throughout the year to different civic organizations and school assemblies.

A Bloomington, Minnesota native, he attended Minnesota University and Minneapolis Brown Institute. He started his radio broadcasting career in Knoxville, Iowa, and relocated to Sioux City, Iowa, for television. Paschke served three years as a sports director at WMTV-TV15 in Madison, WI, and doubled as an analyst for football and basketball matches at the University of Wisconsin.

He went to Milwaukee in 1980 and later served as WITI-TV6’s sports manager. Baseball fans liked hearing Jim as the Milwaukee Brewers TV voice from 1987-91 and 1995-96. He also performed play-by-play tasks at the Wisconsin State Fair Park for basketball at Marquette University, hockey at Milwaukee Admirals (IHL), and auto races.

In 1992, Paschke transferred to WITI-TV to serve as a moderator of the famous “Talking Sports” program of the station, which in 1993 received an Emmy Award. For the NCAA Division III Baseball Championships, Jim handled play-by-play responsibilities in 2007 and 2009. He broadcasted matches for Time Warner Cable from Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in 2007.

Jim joined the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame on October 6, 2007, as “a Basketball Friend.” He is also an honorary member of the board of the MACC Fund. For their job on the 2007 Fox Sports Wisconsin broadcast of a Bucks-Lakers match, Jim and partner Jon McGlocklin won the Emmy Awards in 2008. Jim Paschke: I was born in Rochester, Minn., and we relocated to the Twin Cities when I was one year old. I was born in Bloomington, Minn. There’s still a family I have. When I was 14 years old, I started working at the ballpark for Twins and Vikings matches and next door for hockey matches, so I’ve been all my life around this. The sixth game of the 1965 World Series between was the first day I ever worked for a living.
