Stevenson is a world champion in two weight classes, having held the WBO junior lightweight title since October 2021, the WBC junior lightweight title since April 2022 and the WBO featherweight title from 2019 to 2020.

As an amateur, Stevenson represented the United States at the 2016 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal in the bantamweight division.

As of October 2021, he is ranked as the world’s best junior lightweight by The Ring magazine, Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, and ESPN.

Stevenson had a very successful career at the Youth Level, winning the 2014 AIBA Youth World Championships and 2014 Summer Youth Olympics.
