Meet Harry Herbert, Clodagh McKenna’s Husband

The Honourable Harry Herbert is one of the most famous figures when it comes to the sport of racing.

He is the founder and chairperson of the famous company, Highclere Thoroughbred Racing Ltd. Despite being related to British royalty, he is of American nationality and was born on March 2, 1959.

As stated above, Harry Herbert was born to Henry Herbert- The 7th Earl of Carnarvon (‘Porchey’), and Jean Margaret Wallop.

He has two siblings: George Herbert and Lardy Carolyn Herbert. George is currently the 8th Earl of Carnarvon. Earl Carnarvon’s grandfather became famous after he discovered Tutankhamun’s tomb in Egypt in 1922.

His father, Lord the 7th Earl of Carnarvon, was the late Queen Elizabeth II’s caring horse manager. They were reportedly very close, with the queen affectionately calling him Porchey.
