James Dansby Swanson is a free agent in the American professional baseball league. He was a member of the Atlanta Braves in Major League Baseball (MLB) member. In the 2015 MLB Draft, he was chosen first overall by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Swanson grew up in Kennesaw, Georgia, as the son of two prominent Troy University college athletes.

Swanson launched his 100th career home run against New York Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom on September 30, 2022.

Swanson was the only pitcher in Major League Baseball to appear in all 162 games. After the season, Swanson received his first Gold Glove Award. At the end of the season, he became a free agent.

Dansby Swanson Siblings: Meet Chase Swanson, Lindsey Swanson

Dansby had two siblings, Chase and Lindsey. Chase Swanson, Dansby’s brother, grew up in a different neighborhood named Cobb County and majored in Economics at Mercer University.

He subsequently earned a BA while attending the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer. He was able to engage in everything going on on campus while in law school.

Lindsey Swanson, Dansby, and Chase’s sister resided in Marietta. She received a softball scholarship as a reward while attending Georgia College and State University.

She became interested in psychology after realizing the significance of her scholastic and athletic achievements. She and her spouse and children lived in Kennesaw.
