Anthony Sherman born as Anthony Michael Sherman is an American football fullback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He was playing college football at Connecticut University.

Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals drafted Sherman in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, 136th overall. He had eight receptions for 72 yards during his rookie season. In the 2012 season, he had five receptions for 39 yards.

Kansas City Chiefs

Sherman was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs on May 1, 2013, in exchange for cornerback Javier Arenas. Sherman caught a touchdown pass from Alex Smith to the Cleveland Browns on October 27, 2013. Overall, with 18 receptions for 155 yards and a touchdown, he finished the 2013 season.

On November 5, 2014, Sherman signed with the Chiefs a contract extension. Overall, he finished the 2014 season with 10 receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown. He had only four receptions for 34 yards in the 2015 season but appeared in all 16 games. Sherman had four 11-yard receptions in the 2016 season. At Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles on September 17, 2017, he recovered a fumble on a punt return by Darren Sproles. Sherman scored the first rushing touchdown of his NFL career in the last week of the 2017 season.
He scored on a 14-carry, 40-yard performance against the Denver Broncos in the middle. Overall, in addition to 14 carries for 40 yards, he finished the 2017 season with six receptions for 40 yards.

Sherman signed with the Chiefs a one-year contract extension on March 12, 2018. He recorded a 36-yard touchdown in the 38–28 victory in the 2018 season opener of the Chiefs against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Sherman signed a one-year contract extension of $1.02 million with the Chiefs on March 22, 2019.
