German field hockey player from Division 1 at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut, age 19, has passed away.

Some websites claimed she died, but this has yet to be confirmed; her death has not yet been confirmed by any family members or officials.

German field hockey player Anna Buhrmann, 19, competes in Division 1 for Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. For spring break on March 6th, Anna was skiing at Copper Mountain with her buddies. Anna, unfortunately, smashed into a tree while skiing.

She was airlifted to Colorado via Flight for Life and endured 7 hours of emergency spine surgery. Anna sustained permanent paralysis below the shoulders after breaking her C6 and C7 vertebrae, which severed her spinal cord.

Everyone is mourning and remembering Anna Buhrmann, paying respect to her and expressing their condolences online.

Although her family is still in Germany, Anna persevered and has maintained a positive attitude. They want to raise money to aid with costs like the Flight for Life, surgery, Anna’s parents’ trip to the US, rehab, and other accommodations she will require. Our thoughts and prayers are with Anna, and we want to do whatever we can to support her and her family, everyone will appreciate the donor’s generosity.
